Poem

A World of Wonderful Words

A book looks like a place of wonder, imagination, fantasy where anything can happen

A book tastes like a dry, flat, and bland compressed wood

A book smells like a fresh and clean piece of an interesting idea

A book sounds like trees whispering to one another like the breeze carrying the conversation of the story throughout the forest

A book makes me feel like I am the curious character who wants to find out what will happen next.

Instruction:
Write a simile poem (5 lines) about a book. Each line should talk about:

What does a book look like?

What does a book smell like?

What kind of sound a book’s pages make?

What does a book taste like (if you were to taste it)?

How does a book (or stories in it) make you feel?
